Internet Options for Families

Internet Connectivity Options for Distance Learning:

Our offerings basically fall into two categories. Those that are purchased by the school district and available to anyone and those that are only available to families that qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch Program.

The Options listed below are only available to families that qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Our Child Nutrition Program can assist you with filling out the application. These options are FREE to qualified families.

T-Mobile Hotspots:

We have hotspots from the T-Mobile Project 10Million program. These can only be issued to families that qualify for free and reduced lunch. Under the program, families will be able to keep these hotspots for up to 5 years as long as their child is enrolled in our school district. They are limited to one hotspot per family. Contact your school administrator or counselor to request a hotspot.

State of Washington K-12 Internet Access Program offers the following options.

Ziply Fiber home internet.
Families eligible for free and reduced lunch can apply directly to Ziply. They will receive a free wired internet connection for the remainder of this school year. Contact your school administrator or counselor for a copy of the letter and code.

Comcast home internet service.
Families eligible for free and reduced lunch can apply for free internet service from Comcast for the remainder of the school year. They can apply at
https://apply.internetessentials.com/. Counselors and administrators should contact the technology department to get the free internet access code.

Verizon Hotspots:

If you do not qualify for any of the above programs, the District has purchased a limited number hotspots that are available for checkout. Our first priority is to provide them to families with no or very limited access. Our next priority is to families with multiple children in the school district. They are limited to one per family. Please contact your school to request a hotspot. These will need to be turned back in at the end of the school year. The school district pays a monthly fee to rent these hotspots.
